From Uncertainty to Success: Developing and Communicating Your Financial Narrative in Tough TimesDate: September 12, 2023 Join the American Subcontractor’s Association of Metro Washington (ASAMW) and the Construction Financial Management Association’s (CFMA’s) Greater DC Chapter for a presentation on successfully communicating your company’s financial picture and needs to bankers and other make-or-break stakeholders. Our presenters, Bill Foxburrow of Firstrust and Jack Litzenberger of Truist, are both commercial bankers with a focus on the construction industry. Bill and Jack will share real-life case studies of contractors who have successfully crafted financial narratives that helped secure external support to navigate unique opportunities and challenging times. In addition, they will share real-life examples of the pitfalls faced by contractors who were unable to successfully craft and communicate their organization’s financial outlook. This presentation is geared toward owners, financial managers, and operations professionals who need to understand how external stakeholders evaluate their organization and how best to present it for success. Given the recent consolidation within the banking industry and the increased challenges in securing financing, it is crucial for contractors to have a clear understanding of their financial picture, a compelling vision for their future, and how to effectively convey this outlook to the external decision-makers who can help make your vision a reality.
