Join the American Subcontractor’s Association of Metro Washington (ASAMW) and the Construction Financial Management Association’s (CFMA’s) Greater DC Chapter for a presentation on successfully communicating your company’s financial picture and needs to bankers and other make-or-break stakeholders. Our presenters, Bill Foxburrow of Firstrust and Jack Litzenberger of Truist, are both commercial bankers with a focus on the construction industry. Bill and Jack will share real-life case studies of contractors who have successfully crafted financial narratives that helped secure external support to navigate unique opportunities and challenging times. In addition, they will share real-life examples of the pitfalls faced by contractors who were unable to successfully craft and communicate their organization’s financial outlook.

This presentation is geared toward owners, financial managers, and operations professionals who need to understand how external stakeholders evaluate their organization and how best to present it for success. Given the recent consolidation within the banking industry and the increased challenges in securing financing, it is crucial for contractors to have a clear understanding of their financial picture, a compelling vision for their future, and how to effectively convey this outlook to the external decision-makers who can help make your vision a reality.

Speakers

Bill Foxburrow
is a career commercial banker in the Mid-Atlantic region.  For over 20 years Bill has advised leaders in the building industry (general contractors, specialty trades, architects, engineers, and building materials suppliers) as well as other sectors he finds interesting. He currently serves at Firstrust, a $5 billion family-office owned commercial bank, where he leads growth in Maryland, DC, and Virginia.  Prior to Firstrust, he served at M&T Bank for 13 years.  Off the clock, he serves at his church, mentors with the Boy Scouts of America, and cheers on the Baltimore Orioles.  A native of the Eastern Shore, Bill lives with his wife and four sons in Baltimore City.

Jack Litzenberger is the Dulles Market President (Loudoun, Prince William, and parts of Fairfax Counties) for Truist. He leads a team of seven commercial bankers who act as the primary point of contact for all banking matters - Loans, Deposits, Treasury Solutions and Capital Market needs. Previous roles at the Bank include time spent in both the Small Business and Middle Market areas as both a Relationship Manager and as Team Leader. Jack started with Truist predecessor SunTrust in their Associate Training Program in 2003. Mr. Litzenberger is currently serving on the loan committee of the Business Finance Group - a certified development company financing businesses through the SBA 504 program.
