Are you Ready to Cover Cost of Tariffs?
Prepare NOW to cover the costs of any tariffs that may impact your future job costs. It is a significant risk to fail to protect your company if the owner decides not to cover additional material costs due to tariffs that are not known about at the bidding stage. ASA recommends a “Price escalation and expanded force majeure” addendum to add to your proposal. A copy of this addendum is available to anyone requesting by reply to this email.
Also, join ConsensusDocs on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025 from 2:00pm-3:00pm for a webinar on vital strategies to protect your projects and mitigate the cost impacts stemming from new tariffs. Click the link here to access the webinar.

The Economy Is Going Where?
Sage Economics (Anirban Basu) reposts that construction is moving ahead, if you are in the right segment. Lower interest rates are driving trends upward for multifamily, warehouse, restaurants and automotive construction, but have little effect on the high demand for data centers which continue to trend upwards. Manufacturing is going up, although we see little of that in the DMV. Check out Ten Construction Trends at the Sage Website.
